POETICS, AESTHETICS, COMPOSITION

The exhibition series Poetics, Aesthetics, Composition celebrates photography as an independent medium that has carved out its now unshakable position in the world of fine art.

About the series:

It took photography many years to defend its position as a self as a medium worthy of artistic sanctification. As with a painting on canvas, we initially evaluate its technical accomplishment and content, we should focus on the same criteria for photography. We shouldn't initially be attracted to cheap wow effects. That distract from the photograph itself.

We shouldn't immediately lose ourselves in daydreaming about
what it would be like to have that car, or love that woman, or eat at that restaurant. Our attention shouldn't be absorbed by the subject, but the photo as a whole. Our satisfaction should not come from
dreaming of what it would be like to have its contents in our lives.
